CREW LEADER

 

POSITION DESCRIPTION

This career opportunity is to fill a newly created position to meet the increasing demands of our highly successful construction operations. This position offers challenging opportunities in leadership and management as well as participation in company growth. This full time working crew leader will be directly responsible for managing field operations as well as interacting with office personal. In addition, the successful candidate will be directly responsible for the oversight and implementation of:

  • Small to Large scale landscape construction projects.
  • Commercial Snow Plowing Operations,
  • Accurate record keeping and timely submittal of daily paperwork.
  • Successful candidate will work effectively in a team environment.

Compensation range is directly related to experience. Position includes excellent benefit package and is eligible for bonus and financial upside.

REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

  • Comfortable with / proven track record of managing a crew on landscape construction projects.
  • Minimum of 1 year work experience in role as supervisor
  • Basic blueprint comprehension / Plant identification
  • Creative, pro-active problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to inspire others to their full potential
  • Good communication and motivational skills
  • Landscape construction equipment operating experience
  • Commercial snow plowing experience
  • Ability to prioritize and allocate task to your staff effectively
  • Good mechanical aptitude

EDUCATION / TRAINING

CDL, Supervisory ground applicator license, and Irrigation license are a “plus”
